#GivingTuesdayNow took place on May 5th, 2020, as an emergency response to the unprecedented health and economic crises caused by COVID-19. The global campaign was designed to drive an influx of generosity, citizen engagement, business and philanthropy activation, and support to communities and nonprofits around the world.
The Cancer Foundation for New Mexico took part in this initiative with the intention of raising money to provide medically-approved masks and grocery cards to immunocompromised cancer patients and their families. Thanks to the generosity of the Santa Fe community and beyond, we were able to raise over $5,000 for this purpose.
