We’d like to offer a special thank you to the Santa Fe Community Foundation for springing into action to support local organizations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Cancer Foundation for New Mexico was awarded a grant through the Santa Fe Community Foundation’s COVID-19 Relief Fund to provide medically-approved masks to cancer patients. Because cancer patients are immunocompromised and at increased risk for complications from COVID-19, it’s more important than ever that this vulnerable population has access to medically-approved masks, which have been in extremely short supply.
As a gentle reminder to the community, we often don’t know who among us is suffering from cancer or other underlying medical conditions. In order to help keep all members of our community as safe as possible, please wear a face covering when out in public. We extend our gratitude to all members of the community working to keep cancer patients safe during this public health crisis.
