$10 million in 10 years
The 10/10 Visionary fund is a permanently restricted endowment with the goal of raising $10 million in 10 years. Its purpose is to generate the income needed to cover the Foundation’s operating costs, in order to earmark all other fundraising for lifesaving patient programs: Travel Mileage Reimbursement, Overnight Lodging, Grocery Cards, and Support Groups.
“Valerie and I have been highly involved with the Cancer Foundation for New Mexico for over a decade. I have served on the Board as an active Member, and as Chair for a number of years. Valerie is deeply committed to her work in the chemotherapy suite as a Volunteer.
“We have chosen to provide legacy gifts primarily for local charities in our estate planning, as we have always been loyal to Santa Fe and New Mexico. With more than a thousand charities in Santa Fe, we have lots of choices. What distinguishes the Cancer Foundation for New Mexico from other worthwhile charities is that we actually ‘help save lives,’ and not every charity can point to that result.”
-Valerie and Bud Hamilton, 10/10 Visionary Society Members
