A Message From Our Board Chair About Accessing Cancer Treatment in Santa Fe

Santa Fe's Cancer Foundation for New Mexico Helping Cancer PatientsDear Friends and Donors of the Cancer Foundation for New Mexico:

As you may have seen in recent editions of the Santa Fe New Mexican and Santa Fe Reporter, as well as heard through conversations in the community, the issues between New Mexico Cancer Care and CHRISTUS St. Vincent Hospital are now general public knowledge.

As we collectively wait for further developments related to this issue, it is more important than ever that we remain laser focused as an organization on providing the best possible patient care and assistance to our Northern New Mexico neighbors.

The mission of the Cancer Foundation for New Mexico is quite clear – to provide the assistance and support to patients and their families from northern New Mexico to help remove everyday living expense barriers so that they may undergo cancer treatment in our community. That mission has not changed – and we will continue to offer those services regardless of what develops over the next few weeks, months, and years with regard to Santa Fe medical providers.

Please know we will keep you informed as more information is received.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me or to our Executive Director, Vince Baca. For those of you speaking with or interacting with patients, caregivers, or simply other interested friends and neighbors who may ask what we expect to happen in the next sixty days or so, please contact Vince for a more detailed response. You may reach him directly at (505) 545-3090.

Best regards,

Bunny Terry
