Known as one of Santa Fe’s largest and most popular charity affairs, the annual Sweetheart Auction is the primary fundraising event supporting essential patient services and programs for the Cancer Foundation for New Mexico.
The most successful Sweetheart Auction to date, held on February 8th, 2020, saw a crowd of over 900 people and raised approximately 50% of the Foundation’s annual revenue for vital patient services and programs. Auction highlights included the sale of celebrity dinners with Shirley MacLaine, Ken Burns, and Hampton Sides, a trip to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, an African safari, a performance at Chateau Versailles, a dream vacation raffle, and more!
Attendees enjoyed a complimentary wine & beer bar and dinner buffet, as well as lively bidding on over 600 incredible items including celebrity dinners, local & international getaways, hand-crafted jewelry, collectible artwork, unique dining experiences, and more!
Organized by a small staff and dedicated Board of Directors, this event was supported by over 120 volunteers, 90 event sponsors, and over 600 item donors. As always, the annual Sweetheart Auction would not be possible without the continued support of the Santa Fe community and beyond.
