We’re excited to announce that Whole Foods Market has awarded a donation to the Cancer Foundation for New Mexico through its new Community Giving Program! Once per quarter, Whole Foods Market contributes to community-based nonprofit organizations with aligned missions and values.
The team members at Whole Foods chose to give this award to our organization to help fund our support group network, which benefits cancer patients and their loved ones throughout Santa Fe and northern New Mexico. Support group offerings are led by experienced, licensed facilitators and are offered at no cost to participants. Topics include living with cancer, support for caregivers, grief & loss, and writing workshops.
In response to the COVID-19 health crisis, all support groups are currently being held remotely via video conferencing and dial-in options. Whole Foods Market’s generosity helps ensure that immunocompromised cancer patients are staying connected to their support networks through this difficult time.
If you are interested in participating in a support group for cancer patients, caregivers, or their loved ones, please contact Patient Services Coordinator Caroline Owen. If you are interested in providing financial support for patients services and programs, you may do so here.
