Lou Tilmont moved to Santa Fe from New York in 1988 and has never left; the magnificent landscape and remarkable people continue to captivate him. For the last 20 years of his career, he focused on Computer Science, predictive modeling, and trading software. After a successful tenure in the fintech sector, Lou retired in 2018 and transitioned to full-time community service.
Since then, Lou has been dedicated to giving back to the community that has supported him for decades. With a focus on the roots of poverty, he volunteers in education, addiction recovery, and support for cancer patients. He also finds great joy in fostering puppies and kittens from the Santa Fe Animal Shelter. He has served as a volunteer since 2023 in the Infusion Room, at food basket events and of course the Sweet Heart Auction. Lou looks forward to bringing his extensive volunteer experience and his passion for data-driven decision-making to his work on the board.
