Karen B. Freeman spent her career in marketing for companies such as L’Oreal, Bristol-Myers, and Chesebrough-Pond’s, then with her own marketing consulting firm.
Like most people, Karen has been touched by cancer in a number of ways. She deeply appreciates how difficult it can be for people to access cancer treatment and how cancer impacts the whole family. Of particular concern for her is to help support caregivers who accompany their loved ones on the cancer journey.
A resident of Santa Fe for 24 years, Karen developed a strong interest in the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, and helped start the art show, Native Treasures to benefit MIAC. She currently is serving her second tour as Co-Chair of Friends of Indian Arts. She has also served on other nonprofit boards in Santa Fe, including Assistance Dogs of the West, the Museum of New Mexico Foundation, and the Tano Road Association.
Karen earned an MBA from the London Business School and a BA in English from Cornell University.
