Welcome newest Board member, Steven M. Trujillo, Ph.D.

The Board of Directors welcomes back Steven M. Trujillo, Ph.D.

Steven is a systems analysis manager at Sandia National Laboratories.  He has been at Sandia for almost twenty years, starting as a post-doctoral researcher, and serving in a variety of roles including as Sandia’s technical adviser to the Assistant Secretary of Energy for Defense Programs.  In his present work, he manages a team of analysts providing technical insight to Sandia’s defense partners.  He received a BS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico, and a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

Steven is a native Santa Fean, with multiple community interests.  His introduction to the Cancer Foundation for New Mexico was through the volunteers in the chemo room during his mother’s cancer experience.  He eventually became a volunteer himself, and served previously as a Board member from 2011-2013.  Please join us in welcoming Steven back to the Board of the Cancer Foundation!
