Laura Musgrave

Laura was born and raised in Los Alamos, NM. After earning her bachelor’s degree in government from University of Redlands, a private liberal arts school in Southern California, Laura began her career in New York City in various operational, administrative, and human resources positions working across various industries and sectors, including tech, private equity, and venture capital-backed startups. She earned a master’s in psychology while working in NYC, focusing on diversity and inclusion within organizations and systems. She moved back to New Mexico in 2017 and spent the next 6.5 years working remotely for an East-coast based executive search and management consulting firm, working on C-suite and Board placements in virtually every industry, function, and sector. During her tenure, she made successful executive placements in large healthcare organizations, Fortune 500 financial institutions, retail, logistics and supply chain, manufacturing, big tech, bio-med and pharma, transportation, and large universities, working in everything from non-profit organizations to venture capital and private equity-backed companies to large, publicly traded organizations. Not only was her role focused on executive placements, but also steeped in leadership advisory, from succession planning to organizational design and effectiveness. She is excited to harness her organizational effectiveness, relationship management, and operational skills to give back to the northern New Mexico community by ensuring that every New Mexican with a cancer diagnosis can receive care and treatment.

Laura is deeply passionate about the environment, wildlife, and animals and has multiple rescue dogs in her family, previously volunteering as a foster mom for local humane societies. She is a bonus mom to two incredible children and loves spending time with her family. In her free time she runs 100 mile trail ultramarathons around the mountain West and helps to organize a few local trail running events. A former collegiate swimmer, Laura also enjoys triathlons. She has held two non-profit Board positions over the last five years. Traveling, music, and food are some of her favorite things and she tries to align those three things in tandem as often as possible.
