What a truly unforgettable evening! Supper Club 2025 at Santacafé was filled with warmth, laughter, and the kind of generosity that takes our breath away. Owner Quinn Stephenson, Chef Dale Kester, and the entire team at Santacafé delivered an evening of amazing food, drinks, ambiance, and extraordinary service, with attention to every detail, ensuring that our guests will always have a night to remember.

And, because of our incredible friends and donors that night, the Cancer Foundation for New Mexico raised a record $200,000 through the Visionary Paddle Raise! Thanks to the kindness of our friends at the Anchorum Health Foundation, that amount will be matched, dollar for dollar, doubling the impact for cancer patients and their families here in northern New Mexico.

We’re also excited to share some very special news with you about a unique planned giving opportunity — and how your vision for tomorrow can make a difference for patients today.

Very shortly, the Cancer Foundation will be formally launching our expanded planned gifts program through a planned gifts campaign.  This initiative has the potential to significantly impact cancer patients and their families throughout northern New Mexico for generations to come.

And, it’s a very simple idea: For every new qualifying planned gift during the campaign, the Anchorum Health Foundation will contribute an immediate $10,000 cash donation to the Cancer Foundation for New Mexico, providing direct support to patients in treatment today.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the Cancer Foundation and the patients we serve, and we hope to inspire our donors and friends to join us.

We invite you to consider whether this might be an option for your own personal giving and legacy. I would be honored to meet with you personally and confidentially to explore potential options and answer any questions you, family, or friends you may wish to include might have about the Cancer Foundation’s planned gifts program.

From start to finish, this year’s Supper Club reminded us of the strength of this community and the power of coming together for a shared purpose. On behalf of everyone at the Cancer Foundation for New Mexico, and the patients and families we serve throughout northern New Mexico, thank you for making this evening so successful, joyful, and deeply impactful. Most of all, thank you for helping the Cancer Foundation continue to provide hope for every journey.

With heartfelt gratitude always,

Vince Baca

The Hamilton Visionary Award 2025

Bill and Jane Buchsbaum

For more than 22 years, Bill and Jane Buchsbaum have been unwavering supporters of the Cancer Foundation for New Mexico. After navigating their own cancer journey, they turned personal experience into powerful advocacy, giving their time, talent, and resources to help cancer patients across northern New Mexico.

From the very first Sweetheart Auction, raising a then formidable $45,000, to the million-dollar evenings of recent years, Jane and Bill have been at the heart of it all. Their dedication has helped transform the event into a cornerstone of the Cancer Foundation’s fundraising success and community reputation.

Jane led the jewelry section for nearly two decades, shaping it into one of the most popular and successful areas of the Sweetheart Auction. From securing donors and training volunteers to overseeing every detail, her leadership has been invaluable.

Bill, one of the Foundation’s most tireless and successful auction solicitors, has single-handedly secured hundreds of items, resulting in six-figure-plus support for patient services. Beyond the auction, Bill is the Foundation’s longest-serving Board member. At 94, he remains an active ambassador, introducing staff to potential donors, recruiting volunteers, and continuously advocating for the patients we serve.

Their impact is well known throughout Santa Fe. Their selfless generosity, compassion, and unwavering support exemplify the true spirit of philanthropy. In 2018, Jane and Bill received the prestigious “Santa Fe Living Treasures” award for their years of service and philanthropy in the community.

Their extraordinary contributions over the past two decades have touched the lives of thousands across northern New Mexico. It is with immense gratitude and admiration that we award them the 2025 Hamilton Visionary Award.
