As the final and most extraordinary item of the evening, our 2026 African Safari is truly a trip of a lifetime — an unforgettable journey into some of Africa’s last remaining unspoiled wilderness. Designed exclusively by Africa Calls, a Santa Fe-based boutique safari company renowned for its bespoke, photographic safaris, this remarkable adventure invites two guests to experience Zambia in the most intimate, authentic, and awe-inspiring way.
This once-in-a-lifetime safari has been generously donated by Babette and Christina Alfieri, longtime friends of the Cancer Foundation for New Mexico, whose own cancer journey makes this gift especially meaningful. Their generosity reflects a deep belief in hope, healing, and creating moments that last forever.
Over 12 days and 11 nights, you will explore remote corners of Zambia’s most magnificent landscapes, tracking big and small game on foot with expert naturalists, riding in open safari vehicles by day and night, and gliding along the mighty Zambezi River by boat. Camps are small, intimate, and thoughtfully placed in settings of extraordinary scenic beauty.
Your journey includes:
- Five nights in South Luangwa National Park at The Bushcamp Company
- Three nights on the Zambezi River at Green Safaris’ Sausage Tree Camp
- Two nights near Victoria Falls at Green Safaris’ Tongabezi
- One night in Lusaka, Zambia at Ciela Resort & Spa
Included are accommodations; all meals at safari camps (breakfast only at Ciela); laundry service (except at Ciela); national park fees (except Victoria Falls); taxes and tourism levies; twice-daily guided game viewing activities at safari camps; many activities at Tongabezi; local flights within Zambia; meet-and-greet services; and airport transfers.
