A TALE OF TWO CITIES IN SPAIN
From the capital to the coast, you’ll have the opportunity to compare and contrast the culture and cuisine of two of Spain’s great cities. Madrid, home to the famed Museo del Prado, boasts an impeccable artistic pedigree. Your half-day guided walking tour will provide an overview of some of the city’s best-known monuments. But bring your appetite because you’ll make four different stops to sample regional culinary treats! Cap off your visit to the capital with an authentic flamenco show and dinner, including drinks.
About 2.5 hours to the south by train, the beachside city of Barcelona beckons. Antoni Gaudi, the visionary Modernist, graced the city with unique, innovative buildings – seven of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Your half-day guided walking tour will showcase Barcelona as the focal point of Modernist architecture. Explore Catalonian cuisine on a half-day market tour with a chef whose experience includes Michelin-starred restaurants. Learn about the Slow Food movement and local fare, then follow it up with a hands-on cooking lesson and lunch.
Your trip for four includes:
- 3-night accommodations in a two-bedroom apartment each in Madrid and in Barcelona
- In Madrid, a half-day history and culinary tour, a flamenco show and a Spanish meal with one drink per person
- In Barcelona, a half-day chef-led market tour, followed by a hands-on cooking class with lunch; a half-day guided Gaudi and Modernist Barcelona walking tour, including skip-the-line admission
- All room-related taxes, including VAT
